How we started
Innov8te is a HR consulting business that was founded by Sonia Tammaro in 2007. She has over 20 years’ experience in this field, having worked in senior leadership roles in HR and talent acquisition across corporate organisations, professional services firms and her own business. Innov8te was formed as a way for her to work more closely and independently with her clients.
The team has expanded since and we are proud to be working with some of the most exciting brands across Australia today.

Sonia Tammaro
Owner & Principal Consultant
Sonia Tammaro is the Owner and Principal Consultant at Innov8te. She is a senior Human Resources professional with extensive experience in consulting, coaching, talent acquisition, facilitation and change management. She has led both small and large teams with a key focus on strategic improvement, innovation and stakeholder management. She also consulted to many of Australia and New Zealand’s leading organisations to design, implement and / or manage contemporary HR related solutions.
Simon Townsend
Service Delivery Manager
Simon is a Design Thinking professional who specialises in Human Capital. Focusing on the human element of innovation, he is a strong believer that everyone can help define and sculpt the future and he works with Innov8te clients to develop teams using tested Design Thinking techniques. With his eye on the long term future of business, Simon demystifies technological advances and social media strategies to provide simple-to-implement approaches to recruitment processes and talent sourcing.
Michelle Todaro
Recruiter & HR Consultant
Michelle is a highly experienced and driven recruiter and HR consultant. Her career has spanned across diverse industries, such as engineering, accounting, healthcare and legal, where she has enjoyed working in high-performing teams and achieving positive results. An excellent communicator with strong organisational skills, Michelle is assisting the Innov8te team with delivering quality services to clients, ensuring they receive the support they need to grow, excel and succeed.
Merville Dorothy Torres
Virtual Marketing Assistant
Merville is a Virtual Marketing Assistant dedicated to improving client experiences at Innov8te. With skills in social media management, content creation, and data analysis, she aims to deliver effective results. Merville combines creativity with insights to ensure marketing efforts meet business goals and connect with the audience.
Jessica Anderson
Office Administrator
Jessica is an Office Administrator at Innov8te. She is currently studying a Bachelor of Business at Deakin University and works for us on a part time basis. Jessica is creative and loves working with Innov8te to support client delivery and bringing business and client solutions to life via Canva. She also supports our accounts receivable/payable function.

Oliver recently completed his Bachelor of Arts degree (majoring in Psychology) from the University of Melbourne and he draws on a psychology-oriented approach in his specialisation point of recruitment. He is approachable, hard working and is excited by challenge in a new industry.

James Telfer
Affiliate Coach
James is a senior HR and resourcing professional, with over 25 years’ experience spent working in some of the world’s largest and most recognisable brands. Truly passionate about the role of Talent in driving organisation performance, he has held senior roles in Talent Acquisition and Workforce Planning in companies including in-house and in RPO vendor environments. His experience includes delivering projects across global markets including the UK, Australia, China, Japan, Hong Kong, Singapore, and the Philippines. James holds an MBA and is a certified Gallup Strengths Finder coach. As a coach and mentor, James has extensive experience delivering Gallup Strengths coaching and mentoring programmes to teams at all levels from early career to executive level.

Urshila Arora
HR Coordinator
Urshila is a Human Resources Coordinator at Innov8te with hands-on experience in recruitment, supporting end-to-end hiring processes and contributing to a positive candidate experience. With a strong foundation in HR practice and behavioural science, she brings a thoughtful, people-first approach to her work. Her academic background includes training in counselling, employment relations laws, and change management. She is currently completing a Bachelor of Psychology, majoring in Organisational Studies at Deakin University.
